nightingales break noise abatement statutes “During that month in 2001 and 2002, Henrick Brumm, then at the Free University of Berlin in Germany, recorded the songs of male nightingales in that city. He measured the volume of the songs and background noise and found that the birds can sing up to 14 decibels louder in response to noise such as traffic.” |
