fannie mae and freddie mac start to blame the banks for their own malfeasance

“A bruising legal fight pitting the country’s most powerful banks against the full force of the United States government began Friday, as federal regulators filed suits against 17 financial institutions that sold the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac nearly $200 billion in mortgage-backed securities that later soured.”

The Fannies have long acted as a social engineering project of the Left and as a corrupt slush fund for the ‘Democrat’ establishment.

This action has the very strong stench of Obama trying to confuse and deflect attention from his own culpability; a matter of political posturing and popularism, not a genuine or substantive concern.
